01/21/09 - Enabled short-key shortcuts. Tools> Preferences > Advance > Enabled single-key short cuts > Checked it

02/13/08 - Installed Aspell to give Spell Checking capability to Opera. Firefox spell checking is easier to use. It places a read line under mispelled words as you type so you can fix them right away. Hopefully Opera will catch up.
12/02/07 - Tried using Opera Voice commands but do to the poor quality of my MIC I won't be using it much. What I will be using is its text reading capabilities to proof my articles and anything else I write on the web.

- found there was a bug with Media Player plugin for opera was missing a file. Found instructions to add plugin to fire fox even though it is working http://port25.technet.com/pages/windows-media-player-firefox-plugin-download.aspx

Actually, you have to move the np-mswmp.dll from the Firefox plugins directory to the Opera programs/plugins directory if you have Firefox installed. The Installer will look for the Firefox install and installs the plugin there and will not install it in Opera.
You can also delete npdsplay.dll from Opera's plugins directory as it is no longer needed and might cause conflicts.
The guys at Opera might want to talk to the developer of this plugin for FireFox and ask them to also install it in Opera if an Opera install is detected.

Trying to get each PC using the same setup is hard because I forget how I setup the PC.
On the address bar, I have the following links/buttons.
View>Toolbars>Customize>Click Show hidden toolbars while customizing
Button Tab > Status> Drag to status toolbar on current browser

I have been looking at how flexible Opera is in changing its skin and tool bars making your own personnel browser. Opera has many downloadable customizations. The quickest way to switch between Skins is to press SHIFT F12. Each skin has buttons that can be added to each tool bar. Click Shift F12 > Button Tab. Then drag them to the bar you wish to have it on. I added Status>Speed and Elapse buttons to the Status Bar. The Spacesaver Toolbar has so many buttons that you may not need to use your desktop much any more. You can browse files on hard drive and open them in your desired application.
I found a collection of skins and tool bars that make Opera look like other browsers.
Tip: If find a button you may want to add later. Press Shift F12 fro Appearance Panel . Click Buttons Tab and My Buttons. Drag the button from the web page to the panel. If it is on a tool bar you can drag from their as well.

In Opera, I changed the shortcut mapping for CTRL H to show the history panel instead. By default the the panel is displayed by pressing F4.
Downloaded the Standard Skin Skin and the Spacesaver Toolbar. To switch between the skins use opera tool bar option View>Toolbars>Customize>Skin Tab. To install the Spacesaver toolbars add it to C:\Documents and Settings\*\Application Data\Opera\Opera\profile\toolbar. To switch tools bars use Tools>Preferences>Advance Tab
This toolbar has a lot of options that don't exist on my PC but does give some ideas on items I might add such as Icon Sushi's Image to Icon converter.

Opera - Learned about Opera Wiki site and the power buttons that can be used to add features such as search in the current site.
You can edit ICON images to replace the ones assigned to a website. They are in the Image directory of your opera profile.
