The Elders Scroll IV: Oblivion
Oblivion is an excellent single player fantasy RPG with the main quest being to save Tamriel from being taken over by demons. There are many quests besides the main quest. The player is provided freedom on how they develop their character and which quests to pursue. You can join any of the main fractions that provide you the chance to become the leader of each by completing a series of quests. There are also other groups that you might become a part of such as a vampire.
Oblivion's builtin support for adding mods has made this RPG very replayable. Bethesda sells official mods that add quests, buildings, NPC, and more. The free Oblivion mod building kit has resulted in thousands of free mods that you can add to the game. As a result better graphics, environment, user interface, and sounds are available. With more NPC's, quests, buildings, locations, houses, equipment, and character capabilities are available. These mods made a great game even better. For additional information on adding mods see Oblivion Mods FAQ.
